又姓。唐有花驚定。
【杜甫詩】成都猛將有花卿。

【唐韻古音】按花字，自南北朝以上不見于書，晉以下書中閒用花字，或是後人攺易。唯《後漢書·李諧·述身賦》曰：樹先春而動色，草迎歲而發花。
又云：肆雕章之腴旨，咀文藝之英華。花字與華𠀤用。而五經、諸子、楚辭、先秦、兩漢之書，皆古文相傳，凡華字未有攺爲花者。考太武帝始光二年三月初造新字千餘，頒之遠近，以爲楷式，如花字之比，得非造于魏晉以下之新字乎。
