潛虛丈人違世遁俗，恬淡清玄，渾沌淳穙，薄禮愚學，無為無欲，均同死生，混齊榮辱。於是大夫聞而歎曰：「蓋聞君子不以仕易道，不以身後時，進德修業，與世同理。今子深藏其身，高棲其志，外無所營，內無所事，邯鄲才女，三齊巧士，名唱秘舞，承閑並理，七盤陳於廣庭，疇人儼其齊俟，翩飄微霍，亂精蕩神，巴渝代起，鞞鐸響振，農功既登，玄陰戒寒，乃致眾庶，大獵中原，植旌拊表，班授行曲，緪綱連置，彌山跨谷，弦不虛控，矢不徒注，僵禽連積，隕鳥若雨，麗才美色，希世特立，豐膚曼肌，弱骨纖形，鬒髮玄髩，修項秀頸，紅顏照曜，曄若苕榮，戴明中之羽雀，雜華鑷之葳蕤，珥照夜之雙璫，煥焴爚以垂暉。聖人在仕，時邁其德，先天弗違。稽若古則，叡哲文明，允恭玄塞，登俊乂於壠畆，舉賢才於仄微。置彼周行，列於邦畿。九德咸事，百僚師師。於是四海之內，咸變時雍，普天率土，比屋可封。是以棲林隱谷之夫，逸迹放言之士，鑒乎有道，貧賤是聇。」
