爾時如來，告大眾言：今此大會中，有大菩薩，名曰大福德自在圓滿菩薩，此菩薩往昔成等正覺，號大摩尼珠王如來，今以自在業力故，來娑婆世界，顯大黑天神，是大菩薩。大會中，即起座合掌，白佛言：我於一切貧窮，無福眾生，為與大福德，今現優婆塞形，眷屬七母女天，三界遊現，欲與一切眾生福德，唯願世尊，為我說大福德自在圓滿陀羅尼。爾時世尊，開貌含笑，說真言曰：
曩漠三滿多，母怛喃，唵，摩訶迦羅耶，娑婆訶。
爾時世尊，告大眾言：此天神咒，過去無量諸佛，出世不說，若未來惡世中，有諸貧窮人，聞此陀羅尼名者，當知是人，降大摩尼寶珠，湧出無量珍寶。爾時大黑天神白佛言：若有末法中眾生，持此咒者，我體若五尺、若三尺、若五寸，刻其形象，安置伽藍，若崇敬家內，我遣七母女天眷屬八萬四千人福德神，遊行十方，每日供養一千人，若我所說有虛妄者，永墮惡趣，不還
