是書非名家手筆，然情迹離奇已極。欲擒故縱，將成復敗，幾於無可措手，則又更變一局，亦足見文心矣。暑中無可排悶，魏生時來口譯，日六千言，不數日成書。然急就之章，難保不無舛謬。近有海內知交，投書舉鄙人謬誤之處見箴，心甚感之。惟鄙人不審西文，但能筆述，卽有訛錯，均出不知，尙祈諸君子匡正是幸。畏廬記。
