吳之東禪寺僧文友，自號松岩道人，喜讀吾儒書，多識前言往行，一時士大夫樂與之遊。嘗築亭寺之西偏，臨水之濆，蒔花竹其傍，故士大夫過寺者必訪松岩，而松岩設酒茗必之乎亭之所。亭之賦詠且將成卷矣，然亭不以松岩名，而必名「清溪」者，蓋清溪其師正一之號也。予未來吳時，聞清溪君以吾儒寄跡墨氏，而不縛墨氏律，日與士大夫飲酒賦詩，以風流自命，非蔬筍衲流所能窺也。及來吳，而清溪已逝，及見其徒如松岩者，能不忘其師去之十餘年，而號猶存於新之亭，非其學得於吾儒重本之義，能若是乎？宜吾徒之樂交其人，而華其亭以賦詠也。抑又聞寺有宋南渡僧曰林酒仙者，居院不事熏修梵唄，惟酒是嗜，手持鐵鍵槌日遊市間，不問酒主名，夜即臥酒壚底，酒家爭供以酒，以為聖師云。若清溪之為師弟子者，得微猶有林聖師之遺風乎！嘻！吾於是而自感者已。今之為浮屠氏，以絕倫屏葷酒，若槁項黃馘之流，日誦經鈔若干萬言，以為得佛之道，而不知去道益遠，而脫解禪縛如林酒仙之徒，乃得稱聖焉乎！習浮屠氏之法者，可以辯其要矣。亭創於
