《賁》之上九曰白賁無咎，以其反本也。天下之文，莫文於白文之純，又莫本於反本也。吾聞皋壯年通經史及《國語》，間弧矢騎，以義俠廁狐貉，遊徼問名，貴人爭欲致門下。盜壓境，皋呼鄉兵甲捍於淞之陰，鄉賴以安。又以白衣參諮，讚帥越者卻寇酋、復台紀，活遺黎數十萬。今齒及暮矣，功亦茂矣，假亦可體矣，故斂其神於反本之地，此純白之所以名也。
