立事立言，是為勿替，上公世德，實繫不朽。雖將相無種，而公卿有門，是以萬鍾四牡，曷弈於徃代，長組高冠，陸離於前祀，及負笈追陪，結友從師，先難後易，身佚功倍，皆神遊隅隩，理合精微，非存甯越，廢寢食以存道，久殊高鳳，忘冠履以成業，皎皎獨照，旁絕囂滓，亭亭孤出，入自雲霞，忘情譽毀，同嗣宗之於善惡，齊心得喪，若叔夜之於慍喜，方將受在三九，追蹤二八，弘大道以事一人，敷至理以安百姓，而天德不厚，神聽多愆，仁勇一亡，辯智同盡。
