夫命之與相，猶聲之與響。聲動乎幾，響窮乎應。雖壽夭參差，賢愚不一，其間大較，可得聞矣。若乃生而神睿，弱而能言，八彩光眉，四瞳麗目，斯實天姿之特達，聖人之符表。洎乎日角月偃之奇，龍樓虎踞之美，地靜鎮於城纏，天關運於掌策，金搥玉枕，磊落相望，伏犀起蓋，隱轔交映，井宅既兼，食匱已實，抑亦帝王卿相之明効也。及其深目長頸，頹顏慼齃，虵行鷙立，豭喙鳥咮，筋不束體，血不華色，手無春荑之柔，髮有寒蓬之悴，或先吉而後凶，或少長乎窮乏，不其悲歟！至如姬公凝負圖之容，孔父眇栖遑之迹，豐本知其有後，黃中明其可貴，其間或躍馬膳珍，或飛而食肉，或皂隸晚侯。初形未正，銅巖無以飽生，玉饌終乎餓死。因斯以觀，何事非命？
