Tested: Dian is not going to die. 1 is unidentified, but the phonetic presumably is chuan 川 “river”. Based on the context of this divination it is either the name of a place or the name of a group of people. Reading it as a place name then we have to assume that a preposition is missing in front of it. Oracle bone inscriptions do mention a place called Chuan 川, as well as “Chuan people 川人”; see citations in Jao Tsung-I 1959: 739. is perhaps it is an allograph of Ge 戓; see 275 and 449. 206 | HYZ 189 HYZ 187-HYZ 188
