臣今日準中書省批送到宗晟辭免起復恩命劄子。奉聖旨學士院，降詔不允。謹按宗晟飭行有素，持喪中禮，所辭恩命，已四不允。而宗晟確然固守，其辭愈哀。且曰：「念臣執喪報親之日短，致命殉國之日長。」出於至誠，可謂純孝。臣謂宗晟未經祥練之變，且無金革之虞，孝治之朝，宜聽所守。因以風厲宗室，庶皆守禮篤親，顧不美哉。若以宗正之任，恐難其人，亦當差官權攝，須其從吉，復以命之。臣忝備禁從，不敢不言。所有不允詔書，臣未敢撰。取進止。
