臣某言：近具表乞解機務，伏奉手詔未賜俞允者。

聖恩所及，有隆天重地之施；私義未安，有深淵薄冰之懼。（中謝。）竊惟成湯、高宗之世，有若伊尹、傅說之臣，其道則格於帝而無疑，其政則加乎民而有變。後惟時乂，相亦有終。迨乎中世之陵夷，非復古人之仿佛。忠或不足以取信，而事事至於自明；義或不足以勝奸，而人人與之為敵。以此乘權而久處，孰能持祿以少安？此臣之慮危於居寵之時，而昧死有均勞之乞，況於抱病，浸以瘝官。伏惟皇帝陛下道與日躋，德侔乾覆。哀一夫之失所，樂萬物之皆昌。矧夫眷遇之優，既已勤劬之久，宜蒙善貸，使獲曲全，賜其疲賤之身，假以安閑之地。則敝車無用，猶可具於勞薪；棄席未忘，或再施於華幄。
