熙寧四年
追封宜興縣君，十年二月庚申葬於建昌軍南豐縣龍池鄉之源頭，余時為洪州。

文柔有子，男曰綰，太廟齊郎；曰琮，未仕也。女曰慶老，三歲而死。晁氏世家澶州清豐縣，今為開封府祥符縣人。文柔曾祖佺，贈太師中書令。祖遘，尚書駕部員外郎，贈開府儀同三司、吏部尚書。考宗恪，光祿少卿。余，南豐曾鞏子固也。銘曰：

人孰不貴？子逢其窮。世誰不壽？子罹其凶。維德日躋，生不見其止；維聲日遠，歿不見其終。子能自得，懟者在人。遺以輔余，曾不逡巡。歲云其逝，予悲孔新。其孰昭之？彖
