元祐元年七月二日，朝奉郎試中書舍人蘇軾狀奏。右臣先曾奏論衙前一役，只當招募，不當定差，執政不以為然。臣等奏乞罷免臣詳定役法，奉聖旨不許。經今月餘，前所論奏，並不蒙施行，而臣愚蠢，終執所見。近又竊見吏部尚書孫永奏，駁臣所論。蓋是臣愚暗無狀，上與執政不同，下與本局異議，若不罷免，即執政所欲立法無緣得成。況今來季限已滿，諸路立法文字節次到局，全藉通曉協同之人共力裁定。如臣乖異，必害成法，乞早賜指揮罷免。所有臣固違聖旨之罪，亦乞施行。謹錄奏聞，伏候敕旨。
