十二時中，常切覺察，遮個是什麼。十二月二十日，自泗守席上回，忽然夢得個消息。乃作偈曰：
百滾油鐺裏，恣把心肝炸。遮個在其中，不寒亦不熱。似則是似，是則未是。不唯遮個不寒熱，那個也不寒熱，咄！甚叫做遮個那個。
