錢塘壽禪師，本北郭稅務專知官，每見魚蝦，輒買而放，以是破家。後遂盜官錢為放生之用，事發坐死，領赴市矣。吳越錢王使人視之，若悲懼如常人，即殺之；否，則捨之。禪師淡然無異色，乃捨之。遂出家，得法眼淨。禪師應以市曹得度，故菩薩乃現市曹以度之。學出生死法，得向死地走之一遭，抵三十年修行。吾竄逐海上，去死地稍近，當於
