招仙觀在安仁郭西四十里，始作者與其歲月，予不知也。祥符中嘗廢，廢四五十年，而道士全自明以醫遊其邑，邑之疾病者賴以治，而皆憂其去。人相與言州出材力，因廢基築宮而留之。全與其從者一人為留，而觀復興。全識予舅氏，而因舅氏以乞余書其復興之歲月。
夫宮室、器械、衣裳、飲食，凡所以生之具，須人而後具，而人不須吾以足，惟浮圖、道士為然。而全之為道士，人須之而不可以去也。其所以養於人也，視其黨可以無愧矣。予為之書，其亦可以無愧焉。故為之書。
慶曆七年
七月，復興之歲月也。
