余之所聞湯泉七，其五則今三子之所遊，與秦君之賦所謂匡廬、汝水、尉氏、驪山，其二則余之所見鳳翔之駱谷與渝州之陳氏山居也。皆棄於窮山之中，山僧野人之所浴，麋鹿猿猱之所飲，惟驪山當往來之沖，華堂玉甃，獨為勝絕。然坐明皇之累，為楊、李、祿山所汙，使口舌之士，援筆唾罵，以為亡國之餘，辱莫大焉。今惠濟之泉，獨為三子者詠嘆如此，豈非所寄僻遠，不為當途者所慁，而後得為高人逸士，與世異趣者之所樂乎？或曰：明皇之累，楊、李、祿山之汙，泉豈知惡之？然則幽遠僻陋之嘆，亦非泉之所病也。泉固無知於榮辱，特以人意推之，可以為抱器適用而不擇所處者之戒。元豐元年十月五日。
