元祐六年八月十五日，與柳展如飲酒，一杯便醉，作字數紙。書李太白詩云：「遺我鳥跡書，飄然落巖間。其字乃上古，讀之了不閑。」戲謂柳生，李白尚氣，乃自招不識字，可一大笑。不如韓愈倔強，雲「我寧屈曲自世間，安能隨汝巢神仙」也。
