曾南豐闢陳無己、邢和叔為《英宗皇帝實錄》檢討官，初呈稿，無己便蒙許可，至邢乃遭橫筆，又微聲數稱亂道。邢尚氣，跽以請曰：「願善誘。」南豐笑曰：「措辭自有律令。一不當，即是亂道。請公讀，試為公聊隱括。」刑疾讀，至有百餘字，南豐曰：「少止。」涉筆書數句。邢復讀，南豐應口以書，略不經意，既畢，授歸就編。歸閱數十過，終不能有所增損，始大服。自爾識關楗，以文章軒輊諸公間。
