先兄行甫，好嗜班《史》，東西宦仕，挈以自隨，飲食起居，不去手者三十年。嘗即紀傳而有述，又考其置官置兵本末，以爲《總錄》。晚益貫穿，易以編年體，爲一代史。其它傳記，率多採錄，蓋又不專以班氏書爲定標，曰《西漢年紀》。嘉定辛巳鋟木於夔漕治所。學弟儀甫謂︰「余考《四蜀圖志》，得之記載，眉山二劉亦嘗爲此書，一乃巽喦李公之甥。巽喦以爲不下劉道原。余雖未及睹，然觀志之所稱，特不逸班《史》一字，是但銓次年月，似無所取舍。」余既惜行甫兄弗獲與劉同時，又以巽喦不及見兄此書爲恨也。東陽王觀之仲甫。
