嗟夫！丞，卑職也，而瑤且負丞。使瑤當日而宮丞以上，其為負也不亦大乎？然則又烏用怏怏為也？官無大小，能官為難。能則稱其官，不能則不稱。稱其官則雖丞何足愧？丞固尊也。不能稱其官則雖公卿何足羨？公卿固卑也。尊卑之分，不存其官，存其人。瑤不能丞也，因著能官之難，以與有官之君子共朂
