《清江漕船志》創於元山，續於點白子。
嘉靖癸卯，南川子來蒞廠事，復增修焉。並衛河之歸隸，還郡乘之久假。約其卷為八，目為十。其事則詳而核，其文則簡而嚴，章其物采，掇其體要，一展卷間，見帝略之宏焉，見使命之重焉，見王賦之充焉，見軍實之盛焉，見經制之密焉，見優樂之誠焉。於我國家培養靈長之脈，締造鞏固之基，訏謨遠猶，燦然在目。猗與休哉！

夫《禹貢》志山川也，於貢賦則孅入絲臺木，禹以之告成功；《周禮》志六典也，記考工則木石毛革之屬，周公持以歸政焉。斯志也，志漕政之大也，器數昭矣，品式具矣，材用飭矣，綜理周矣，防範嚴矣。而其細也，不遺竹頭、木屑，蓋必如是而後能理天下之財，能成天下之務。上以副承遣之命，下以攄馳驅之懷。抑有慮焉，漕舟本以利國，今乃滋病：成化以前，其病在民，以後其病在軍；嘉靖以來，不在商則在廠。蓋船日加而日損，價歲增而歲不足。其取解也，常逾年，而給領也，常不逮年。或者乘其病，而因以為利，則病益病矣。其在商乎？其在廠乎？吾不得而知也。然則如之何其可也？曰任人。
