宋子曰：玉韞山輝，珠涵水媚。此理誠然乎哉，抑意逆之說也？大凡天地生物，光明者昏濁之反，滋潤者枯澀之仇，貴在此則賤在彼矣。合浦、於闐，行程相去二萬里，珠雄於此，玉峙於彼，無脛而來，以寵愛人寰之中，而輝煌廊廟之上，使中華無端寶藏，折節而推上坐焉。豈中國輝山媚水者，萃在人身，而天地菁華止有此數哉？
