刑部尚書王時，持五刑以弼五教。時所習者，先聖之道，及其行也，不禮先聖之教，縱奸頑之志，鬱良善之心，懷暴誹謗，惟在沽名。凡奏刑名增減情辭，故行出入，每每不當御史唐鐸按實，將欲勾問，其王時面傷，唐鐸徑引唐則天故事『上侮朝廷，下慢執法之官』其詞曰：『你入我罪，久後少不得請公甕。』今所言王時不之事不過一二爾，不才多矣。
