佛氏之教以清靜慈悲為本，以方便利濟為用，所以淑人心、翼王化、達幽明，妙於無迹。然而，奉其教者，必為之崇祠宇、嚴法相，蓋以廣信心，期底於感通；啓群迷，咸歸於善道也。司設監太監吳公亮等，生遇明時，叨居禁近，恩眷攸乆，報稱無能，願託能仁，用酬大德。嘗聞之故老：都城北百里許，古有大延聖寺，銀山鐵壁，巋然天成，真佛境也。歷世既乆，殿宇頹墜，丹青剝落，有待於好事者。比幸公暇而往謁之。瞻禮之餘，深慨於中。歸而謀及信官奉御福道誠等官，咸發所蓄，市材僦工，改舊易新。為殿五，奉香火如儀，山門、禪堂、方丈、齋廚，小大畢就，環之以垣。於是，祗嚴法像，虔事焚修，庶福地回光，法
