方物之生，各有所適，蜀人奚必知越，越人奚必知燕哉？今子處乎東者也，循是以西，天不加圓，地不加方。循是而又東，天不加墮，地不加傾。弭節乎暘穀之地，總轡乎扶桑之墟，仰角宿之旦，啟曜靈之藏，遊遨乎春宮，泛觀乎溟渤，夷然隱几而噓，倚梧而吟者也。故東隅者，適然者也。適然，則幾乎道矣。
