觀羽族之羣類，美玄鳥之翔集，順陰陽以出處，隨寒暑而遊蟄，擢翾翾之麗容，揮連翩之玄翼，挺參差之修尾，發緇素之鮮色。及至大火西景，商風吹衣，遂匿形於深穴，斂六翮而不飛，含靜泊以充肌，噏至和之精粹，澹恬心以去欲，故保生而不匱，虞眾物之為害，獨棄林而憑人，不驚畏以自疏，永歸馴而附親，有受祥而皇祇，故遺卵而生殷。惟帝皇之嘉美，置高禖以表神，類鸞皇之知德，象君子之安仁。爾乃銜泥搆巢，營居傅桷，積一喙而不已，終累泥而成屋，拾柔草以自藉，採懦毛以為蓐。吐清惠之泠音，永吟鳴而自足。
