記者冗不殺，故精英奄然，示宋景德以來所錄，此最樸直，最雅馴矣。祖所獲於《法華》、《涅槃》也，與吾智者大師同，謂之六祖撰《法華玄義》可，謂之《涅槃玄義》可，謂之六祖《摩訶止觀》，無不可矣。其斥淨土也，開唯心之宗，最上法門，我實不見其謗淨土。五燈以還，險語過此者多有，何獨議六祖？嗚呼！如六祖，我敢謂禪不可捕捉也哉！
