夏杪舟過峭帆亭，非叨良友之光，幾爲惡役所阻。尤承摯誼，留醉蘭軒；蠟炬龍團，贈遺稠疊，紉佩何可言喻！返館後，以居停作古，交案棼如，未遑泐謝。比來三徑黃花，一樽紅友，雅人深致，定將東閣作東籬矣。
弟以鄧明府官清似水，累積如山，已在彌留，尚承顧託，以故滯留三月。今稍稍就緒，計日東歸。將來半榻青氈，不知寄向何處耳。
