自珍曰：阮公言是也，《史記》實有闕文，又有倒文，與石刻不符。前年於王侍郎（紹蘭）齋中，獲見北宋拓碣石秦刻文，與《史記》絕異。可是文寶隻解抄《史記》，非解造秦刻，作偽亦須學問耳。
洪稚存詩曰：「若將一字比一星，二十八宿中添伐。」豈料未及五十年，人間又少十九字耶？可為浩歎！自珍贅記。
