借屋復借屋，屋借惡客主人哭；本言借半暫居停，轉瞬主人被驅逐。
亦有不逐主人者，日爨主薪食主穀；主人應役如奴婢，少不如意遭鞭扑。
或嫌湫隘再遷去，便將主屋向人鬻；間逞豪興構新居，在在隙地任卜築。
東鄰取土西鄰瓦，南鄰移石北鄰木；旬日之間慶落成，四鄰舊巢皆傾覆。
加之警息朝夕傳，土著盡編入冊牘；晝不得耕夜不眠，執殳荷戈走僕僕。
此地聚廬數百年，貧富相安無觳觫；自從惡客逼此處，丁壯老稚淚盈目。
人言胡虜如長蛇，豈知惡客是短蝮！
