聞道海東之蛇百尋長，阿誰曾向蛇身量；蛇身伏藏不可見，來時但覺勃窣腥風颺。
人馬不能盈其吻，牛車安足礙其肮！
鎧甲劍矛諸銅鐵，嚼之縻碎似兔鹿章。
遙傳此語疑虛誕，取證前事亦尋常；君不見巴蛇瘞骨成邱岡，岳陽羿跡未銷亡。
當時洞庭已有此異物，況於萬古閉塞之夷荒；夷荒久作長蛇窟，技非神羿孰能傷。
天地不絕此種類，人來爭之犯不祥；往往活葬長蛇腹，何不翩然還故鄉！
