心猶首面也，是以甚致飾焉。面一旦不修，則塵垢穢之；心一朝不思善，則邪惡入之。咸知飾其面，不修其心，惑矣。夫面之不飾，愚者謂之醜；心之不修，賢者謂之惡。愚者謂之醜，猶可，賢者謂之惡，將何容焉？故覽照拭面，面宜潔凈。則思其心之潔也；傅粉，粉宜調和。則思其心之和也；加粉，粉宜鮮明。則思其心之鮮也；澤髮，髮宜潤澤，則思其心之潤也；用櫛，櫛以理亂絲。則思其心之理也；立髻，髻宜端正。則思其心之正也；攝鬢，鬢宜整齊。則思其心之整也。
