按《周禮》，朝士面三槐，公位也。槐何以取於三公哉？豈其晝聶霄炕，一陰一陽之翕辟，而燮理之道見焉，故公所多植槐。齊之君主有犯槐之樹也，列公所尊，異乎群卉，而不可與凡條繇植於老農之圃者比矣。故宋王祐氏手植三槐於庭，期其子孫曰「吾子孫必有為三公者」，已而旦果相太宗，天下謂之三槐王氏。吁！槐之植私庭，而遇如王氏者，天下亦鮮矣。

北庭文甫氏家於杭之清波門，自其祖參政忽撒公樹槐三章於居之後苑，稍治園亭其中，名之曰「槐圃」。文甫氏彈琴讀書或與客觴詠，必於圃之所，時時與客撫其樹曰：「嗟乎！是吾祖之手澤也，予後之人弗克負荷，惟懼其敢不封植是樹，如昔人之無忘角弓，以無忘吾祖者耶！」客至圃者，愛其人必敬其樹，知其祖之待文甫氏者遠且大也，且咸為之賦《槐圃》詩。

吁！文甫氏能思其祖，愛其手植若是，其孝於家者可知矣！以其孝於家者，移忠於國，其光於祖者又可知也！文甫方強年，承參政公之澤，將以六品秩仕於朝矣。吾嘗交其人，識其負大器，且執謙而好學，忽氏子孫之為三公者，豈下王氏哉？異日文甫居高位、面庭槐，若見爾祖之手植也，有不惕然者哉？槐以人而名，則圃以槐而重矣，天下謂之三槐王氏者，不屬之三槐忽氏乎？惟文甫以前人之所期、天下之所望者勉之而已！
至正己丑
