趙郡蘇軾子瞻之乳母任氏，名采蓮，眉之眉山人。父遂，母李氏。事先夫人三十有五年，工巧勤儉，至老不衰。乳亡姊八娘與軾，養視軾之子邁、迨、過，皆有恩勞。從軾官於杭、密、徐、湖，謫於黃。元豐三年八月壬寅，卒於黃之臨臯亭，享年七十有二。十月壬午，葬於黃之東阜黃岡縣之北。銘曰：
生有以養之，不必其子也。死有以葬之，不必其里也。我祭其從與享之，其魂氣無不之也。
