漢高皇帝廟有石，高三尺六寸，中裂如破竹，不盡者寸。父老曰：「此帝之試劍石也。」熙寧十年，蜀人蘇軾為彭城守，弟轍實從入廟，觀石而為之銘曰：
維漢之興，三代無有。提劍一呼，豪傑奔走。厥初自試，山石為剖。夜斷長蛇，旦泣神母。指麾東西，秦、項授首。斂然三尺，一夫之偶。大人將之，山嶽頹仆。用巨物靈，不復凡手。武庫焚蕩，帝命下取。巋然斯石，不尚有舊。
