「三年避地少經過，十日論詩喜琢磨。自欲灰心老南嶽，猶能繭足慰東坡。來時野寺無魚鼓，去後閑門有雀羅。從此期師真似月，斷雲時復掛星河。」仆在廣陵作詩《送曇秀》云：「老芝如雲月，炯炯時一出。」今曇秀復來惠州見余，余病，已絕不作詩。兒子過粗能搜句，時有可觀，此篇殆咄咄逼老人矣。特為書之，以滿行橐。
