僕謫居黃州，鄭元輿君乘亦官於黃。一日，以此紙一軸，求僕書云：「有故人孟陽，酷好君書，屬予多為求之。」仍出孟君書數紙。其人亦善用筆，落筆灑然，雖僕何以加之。鄭君言其意勤甚，殆不可不許。後數日，適會中秋，僕與客飲江亭，醉甚，乃作此數紙。時元豐四年也。明日視之，乃絹也。然古者本謂絹紙，近世失之云。
