余在黃州，大醉中作此詞，小兒輩藏去稿，醒後不復見也。前夜與黃魯直、張文潛、晁無咎夜坐。三客翻倒幾案，搜索篋笥，偶得之，字半不可讀，以意尋究，乃得其全。文潛喜甚，手錄一本遺余，持元本去。明日得王晉卿書，云：「吾日夕購子書不厭，近又以三縑博兩紙。子有近書，當稍以遺我，毋多費我絹也。」乃用澄心堂紙、李承晏墨書此遺之。元祐元年十一月二十一日。
