道間與季通講論，因悟向來涵養功夫全少，而講說又多疆探。必取尋流逐末之弊，推類以求。眾病非一，而其源皆在此。恍然自失，似有頓進之功。若保此不懈，庶有望於將來。然非如近日諸賢，所謂頓悟之機也。向來所聞誨諭，諸說之未契者，今日細思，脗合無疑。大抵前日之病，皆是氣質躁妄之偏。不曾涵養克治，任意直前之弊耳。
