吳筠嘗作《明真辨僞》、《輔正除邪》、《辨方正惑》三論，詆釋氏以尊道家之說。使筠而知道，則此書不作矣。司馬子微得天隱子之學，其著《坐忘論》云︰「惟滅動心，不滅照心。不依一物，而心常住。有事無事，常若無心，此謂真定。定不求慧，而慧自生，此謂真慧。慧而不用，心與道冥。行而久之，自然得道。」其所造如此，豈復較同異於名字之間邪？
