菊坡翁盛德清風，跨映一代，歸身海濱，當相不拜，天下之士，以不得見其秉鈞事業為無窮恨。今觀兩帖所稱，規模意向、局面話頭者，則文武之道具是矣。一朝踐其位，固皆舉而措之者也。後書論邊計尤切是，時楚叛矣，而公以不得盱眙為憂，若不可終日者。嗚呼！寧知三十年後楚之餘燼復然，而漣水之迫乃有過於盱眙者乎！考引昔今，為之永歎。
