三百五篇之詩，間出於田夫野叟之作，當時樵者固多能詩。自晉、唐來，詩始為一道，而作者有數矣。今李敬則莊翁，於詩太用工力，然猶不敢自以為傑，謙而託諸樵。今樵安得此可人？其古樵之流亞歟！抑君嘗從蔡覺軒學，庸齋復贈詩曰：「男兒不朽事，只在自身心。」君生武夷山下，此晦翁理窟。山林之日長，學問之功深，君非徒言語之樵也，身心之樵。何幸從君講之！
