融昔稱幼學，早訓家風，雖則不敏，率以成性。布衣葦席，弱年所安，簞食瓢飲，不覺不樂。但世業清貧，民生多待，榛栗棗修，女贄旣長，束帛禽鳥，男禮已偹。勉身就官，十年七仕，不欲代耕，何至此事。昔求三吳一丞，雖屢舛錯。今聞南康缺守，願得為之。融不知階級，階級亦可不知融，政以求丞不得，所以求郡，求郡不得，亦可復求丞。
