詩而至於詠物，詠物而至於雁字，此詩中之詩，畫中之畫也。《雁字》詩唱於楚中。秋舷老衲與槜李諸君更相詶和，卷軸粗於牛腰，而孔彰詩後出而彌工。吾觀孔彰畫《後招隱圖》，蒼茫薈蔚，備極山川林麓晴雨晦明之妙。發之於詩，氣韻生動，傳模移寫，使人徘徊吟咀，如度雁門、遵衡陽，親見其飛翔行列，縈回於楮墨之間也。古人詩畫，無取於多。袁海叟《白燕》詩月明雪滿二語，三百年詞人不能及其仿佛。郭忠恕之畫最為寶重者，山亭一角，遠山數峰而已。詩耶畫耶？詩中之詩，畫中之畫耶？微孔彰吾誰與言之？癸未正月。
