宋子曰：首山之采，肇自軒轅，源流遠矣哉！九牧貢金，用襄禹鼎，從此火金功用，日異而月新矣。夫金之生也，以土為母，及其成形而效用於世也，母模子肖，亦猶是焉。精、粗、巨、細之間，但見鈍者司舂，利者司墾；薄其身以媒合水火而百姓繁，虛其腹以振盪空靈而八音起；願者肖仙梵之身，而塵凡有至象；巧者奪上清之魄，而海寓遍流泉。即屈指唱籌，豈能悉數？要之，人力不至於此。
