人有置甌道旁，傾側墮地。甌已敗，其人方去之。蒨有持甌者過，其人亟拘執之，曰：「爾何故敗我甌？」因奪其甌，而以敗甌與之。市人多右先敗甌者，持甌者竟不能直而去。噫！敗甌者向不見人，則去矣；持甌者不幸值之，乃以其全甌易其不全甌，以其不全甌易其全甌。事之變如此，而彼市人亦失其本心也哉！
