讀來論為之感歎！自北平、南昌二變以後，一代規模於「宗子維城」四字，竟不復講。至崇禎之時，人心已去，雖使親王典兵，其能者不過如漢之陳王寵，下者則唐之覃王嗣周、延王戒丕而已。積輕之勢固不能有所樹立，而變故萌生，難可意料，誰肯獨創非常，建房琯之策者哉？雖然，苻堅不過氐酋偽主，而其疏屬尚有苻登。誠得此論而用之，未必無一二才傑之士自茲而奮發也。
