初，書估攜此冊求售，余奇其名，故以白金一錠購之。後李尚之謂余曰：「錢竹汀先生嘗以未見此書為言，則此誠罕覯之本矣。」因付裝潢，求竹汀一言，前所跋者是也。至於步算非專家，余屬尚之詳論其所以，適尚之應阮蕓台中丞聘，臨行揀還，未及辨此，當俟諸異日爾。
