表所居以輔名字，古未之有也。雖然，古文變而篆，大篆變而小篆，小篆變而隸，則若是已矣。餘猶為之，且係以七銘：枕之銘曰：以蛇而去蛇，安眠者如是耶？
燈之銘曰：如擎油滿中，不動無所棄。硯之銘曰：十二煩惱汝誌之，煩惱俾汝誌也。眼鏡之銘曰：潰者利逼，心光之則。盂之銘曰：惜於水，渟於盂，不渟汝智，孰惜汝智之枯？
坐之銘曰：天九萬，淵九萬，尼汝於一紵。一切處之銘曰：不送汝，矧逆汝，煩惱身，亦委蛇而畢汝。
